Quilt Camp, Day #5 from From the Strawberry Patch...

Today was the last day for Quilt Camp, there was still plenty to do: getting the binding attached, and then, learning the fine art of finishing. She was an eager beaver this morning! Forever Young from From the Strawberry Patch...

She was my absolute favorite children's author, the news of her passing hurt my heart; she lived to almost 105! And yet, her characters: Ramona, Beezus, Henry Huggins and his dog, Ribsy, will remain forever young and immortal. You Should Be Reading... from Queen of the Unfinished Projects...

I first stumbled on Rick Riordan years before my kids were even close to old enough to read them. I read the first set of Percy Jackson books because everyone online seemed to be talking about them. And they were good. I very much enjoyed them. But then, I stuck them in a corner and moved on to other stories.
